Postnatal: Classes

Women doing yoga training together and p

Nurture & Nourish postnatal classes are specifically designed to progressively support healing and rehabilitation in the postnatal phase after any kind of birth. Claire blends yoga asana and corrective exercise to build a strong foundation in the core so that you can move forward with strategies that will be useful for any kind of movement practice. These classes bring tools to address the mental and emotional intensity of caring for very young children and provide a safe space for new mothers and parents to feel nurtured and restored. A wonderful class for connecting with yourself and others, in a warm and supportive community of new parents.

Next series starts early 2023

Bring your baby to yoga! You are always welcome to bring your baby to private sessions with Claire.

Baby & Me yoga class is a wonderful opportunity to bond and move with your baby. In this space ANYTHING goes! We are all about fostering a truly non-judgmental support network of families. You are welcome to feed, change, take time out from the guided practice with your baby as and when you need to. The movement we use is intended to deepen connection between you and your baby, support your body's post-birth rehabilitation and stretch out those achy caregiving muscles.

Good quality postnatal rehabilitation is not widely available and for many people the core dysfunction they develop after pregnancy persists long after the immediate postnatal phase. Claire has extensive further education in postnatal core dysfunction including working with conditions such as diastasis rectus abdominis (DRA) and pelvic organ prolapse (POP). She is always open to working in conjunction with your pelvic physical therapist and helping you to get back to the activities you love. Contact me to chat and for more details.
